Redefining Impossible Starts Here

ADVENTURES

We believe that the right combination of adventure, challenge, and community has the power to transform confidence, rebuild self-belief, and ignite a renewed sense of purpose.

That’s why we harness the great outdoors for creating experiences that push boundaries and bring people together in a shared journey of growth.

From the UK to some of the most remote environments on Earth, we take our beneficiaries and members of the disabled community on life-changing adventures - each one designed to challenge perceptions and redefine what’s possible.

Explore the journeys below.

Danube River Cycle (2026)

Learn More

In September 2027, the Foundation took five individuals who had faced life-changing trauma on a breathtaking cycling expedition along the Danube River from Passau in Bavaria to Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Over the course of five days, the beneficiaries handcycled/cycled 330kilometres along the Danube River as they followed a section of the ‘Velo 6’, Europe’s longest dedicated cycle path – the perfect adventure to launch the Foundation and showcase what is possible.

The expedition took full advantage of the accessible and inclusive facilities along the Danube, travelling through pristine wilderness, as well as the quintessential towns, villages, and countryside of Bavaria and Austria. For many of our beneficiaries, it was the first time they’d travelled, camped, or cycled a long distance since their injuries/trauma. Together, the team managed to raise £6,000 to support future beneficiaries.

Danube – we will be back!

Norwegian Fjords Kayak (2027)

Learn More

In July 2027, the Foundation will head to the raw beauty of Norway’s breathtaking fjords - from the source of Europe’s longest fjord, the Sognefjord, to the iconic Nærøyfjord, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful fjords in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Over the course of a week, this expedition will take participants on a truly once-in-a-lifetime journey - working together to kayak through the tranquil, glacial waters of Norway’s vast and intricate fjord system.

Designed to challenge and inspire in equal measure, this adventure will immerse beneficiaries in a remote and awe-inspiring environment, where teamwork, resilience, and shared experience are essential. Each day on the water presents new physical and mental challenges, creating powerful moments of achievement and reflection.

As with all Redefining Impossible Foundation expeditions, this journey is about more than the landscape. It is about building confidence, strengthening belief, and proving that, together, barriers can be broken and new possibilities realised.

Polar Skills Adventure (2027)

Learn More
In February 2027, the Foundation will take a small group of beneficiaries on the adventure of a lifetime, offering them the opportunity to learn how to explore some of the world’s most remote and challenging polar environments in the heart of Swedish Lapland.

Working alongside the Pole to Pole Academy in Umeå, participants will develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to travel safely in extreme winter conditions. Throughout the expedition, beneficiaries will learn cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and essential polar survival skills, gaining firsthand experience of what it takes to navigate and thrive in one of the planet’s most unforgiving environments.

Together, the group will journey through a breathtaking landscape of frozen lakes, snow-covered forests, and vast Arctic wilderness, immersing themselves in the raw beauty and tranquillity of a Scandinavian winter. More than just an expedition, this experience will challenge participants to step beyond their comfort zones, build self-belief, and discover what they are truly capable of achieving.

This adventure serves as the perfect introduction to adaptive winter exploration, inspiring participants to embrace new challenges, develop lifelong skills, and redefine what they believe is possible.

Traws-Eryri Expedition (2026)

Learn More

In August 2026, Darren Edwards (Spinal Cord Injury) and Jack Ryan (Visual Impairment) completed the ultra-distance 200kilometre ‘Traws-Eryri’ route across the mountains of Snowdonia – becoming the first handcycle, tandem, and adaptive team to complete the gruelling and rugged journey.

Over the course of three days, Darren and Jack navigated challenging terrain and significant elevation, working with their incredible support team to overcome each hurdle and challenge. Despite multiple mechanical and technical difficulties, the team arrived at their finish point at the historic town of Conwy.

Together, the team managed to raise £5,000 to support future beneficiaries.
